This long-standing partnership forms part of a humanitarian support programme funded since 2013 by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
In 2025, the project continued in the health districts of M’baïki and Boda, where the population remains highly vulnerable due to instability and structural weaknesses in the health system. The initiative helped to maintain access to essential healthcare and support the operation of local health facilities, through an approach combining a humanitarian response with the gradual strengthening of the health system.
Despite the fragile context, these activities ensured continued access to healthcare services for people in the target areas. Maternal care was particularly strengthened, with over 12,000 antenatal consultations carried out and 6,664 assisted deliveries. In total, more than 84,000 people were able to benefit from essential healthcare, thanks to the mobilisation of 165 health and support workers.
Overall, 2025 confirms the effectiveness of the system put in place, which contributes to the continuity of care and the gradual stabilisation of health services in a region severely affected by crises.
