The ‘Terre d’Afrique’ treatment at the Mondorf Thermal Spa

To mark International African Women’s Day, the Follereau Luxembourg Foundation has teamed up with the Domaine Thermal de Mondorf and MissBak, a Luxembourg-based brand of 100% natural cosmetics of African origin. The result? A wellness ritual combining relaxation, skincare… and social commitment.

Terre d’Afrique” is available until the end of November 2025. Here’s what you can look forward to:

· A Rasul scrub using black charcoal soap and a loofah sponge to purify the skin and stimulate circulation

· A shea butter cream wrap to gently nourish and protect the skin

· A relaxing massage with shea butter, renowned for its moisturising and regenerating properties, for deep relaxation of body and mind

By choosing this ritual, you are looking after yourself whilst supporting a social and professional integration project run by the Follereau Luxembourg Foundation and its local partner in the village of Kaloukro, in Côte d’Ivoire. This project supports 60 young women aged 14 to 30, living in extremely precarious circumstances, who have dropped out of school, come from disadvantaged families and often become mothers at a very young age, as they undertake vocational training in dressmaking, hairdressing and pastry-making. In addition to a three-year vocational training course, they benefit from a childcare service for their children, as well as medical, psychosocial and nutritional support for themselves and their children.

The ‘Terre d’Afrique’ treatment is available exclusively at the Domaine Thermal de Mondorf. You can book your treatment directly on their website or by telephone. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Follereau Foundation and the project in Kaloukro. So, treat yourself (or someone close to your heart) to this meaningful beauty break, which celebrates the richness of African traditions whilst supporting the women of tomorrow.
