Cheque presented at the Ecole Privée Fieldgen
A school’s unfailing support for the Fondation Follereau.
On 24 June 2025, Ecole Privée Fieldgen formalised its annual support for the Fondation Follereau Luxembourg with the presentation of a cheque for 18,008.5 euros. This was an important occasion for both the school and the foundation, reflecting the commitment of all those involved in the school community – pupils, parents, teachers and staff.
This substantial sum was raised during the 71st Follereau Week, the fruit of the work of an entire school mobilised for a health project promoting access to drinking water, hygiene and sanitation in Togo. This Follereau week enabled 727 pupils to attend lectures on the theme of the project supported and ended with an evening performance by the pupils in aid of the foundation.
Since 2014, the foundation has been supporting a health programme in the Maritime and Plateaux regions with its local partner team; it focuses on promoting family and community health, maternal and child health in particular, via:
- Building health centres with access to drinking water,
- Access to care for newborn babies and pregnant women,
- raising awareness and preventing infectious diseases in schools adjacent to the centres built: health and hygiene education, construction of latrines, sheds and human-powered boreholes, provision of hand-washing facilities.
And thanks to Ecole Privée Fieldgen, the money raised was used to fund awareness-raising activities for teachers and pupils, as well as the purchase and installation of hand-washing facilities and part of the construction of latrines in the schools.
The Foundation’s team would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all those who helped make this 2025 edition of Follereau Week such a success!
Alone we go faster, together we go further.
