Luxemburg, 11.01.2013 \u2013 Die Gemeinde Betzdorf hat sich auch 2013 dazu entschlossen, die FFL finanziell zu unterst\u00fctzen. In diesem Jahr sieht die Gemeinde die Spende f\u00fcr ein Gesundheitszentrum in Burkina Faso vor: in Leungo, 140 Kilometer nord\u00f6stlich von der Hauptstadt Ouagadougou gelegen. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201eWir m\u00f6chten die Zukunft des Gesundheitszentrums in Leungo sichern\u201c sagte B\u00fcrgermeister Rhett Sinner strahlend bei der Scheck\u00fcbergabe am Freitag. Die Gemeinde Betzdorf hatte das sogenannte \u201eCentre de Sant\u00e9 et de Promotion Sociale\u201c in Leungo bereits 2010 unterst\u00fctzt, damals stand der Bau des Zentrums bevor.<\/p>\n\n\n

Da das Geb\u00e4ude mittlerweile bezugsfertig ist, startet die FFL nun die Phase der Einrichtung des Gesundheitszentrums: Dazu geh\u00f6rt neben dem Einkauf von Medikamenten und medizinischem Material, auch die Auswahl und Einstellung von Personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das Gesundheitszentrum ist gezielt in Leungo errichtet worden, da dort tausende Menschen w\u00e4hrend der Regenzeit keinen Zugang zu medizinischen Dienstleistungen haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das \u201eCentre de Sant\u00e9 et de Promotion Sociale\u201c bietet allgemeinmedizinische Behandlungen und eine Informationsstelle der Gemeinde an, zudem besitzt das Zentrum eine Entbindungsstation und eine Apotheke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das gesamte FFL-Team war Ende Dezember voller Freude als nach der letzten Sitzung des Gemeinderates von Betzdorf feststand, dass auch die Fondation Follereau Luxembourg zu den auserw\u00e4hlten Partnern geh\u00f6rt, die finanziell unterst\u00fctzt werden.
