Dezember 2014 \u2013 Afiliatys unterst\u00fctzt das Zentrum \u201cLe Luxembourg\u201d der Fondation Follereau Luxembourg das zur Fr\u00fcherkennung und Behandlung der vernachl\u00e4ssigten tropischen Krankheit Buruli Ulkus im Benin im Westen Afrikas errichtet wurde.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Am 17. Dezember fanden sich Martin Littlejohn von Afiliatys \u2013 Verband der europ\u00e4ischen Beamten und Johan van Damme vom Europ\u00e4ischen Rechnungshof in den R\u00e4umlichkeiten der Fondation Follereau in Luxemburg ein um einen Scheck im Wert von 3 000 Euro zu \u00fcberreichen.<\/p>\n<p>Mit dieser Spende unterst\u00fctzt Afiliatys das Projekt eines Gesundheitszentrums (CDTUB- Centre de D\u00e9pistage et de Traitement de l\u2019Ulc\u00e8re de Buruli) in Westafrika das sich f\u00fcr Menschen einsetzt die vom Buruli Ulkus betroffen sind. Es handelt sich dabei um ein Mykobakterium das eine Infektion der hervorruft die zu Hauttransplantationen und regelrechten Amputationen f\u00fchren kann. Vor allem sind Kinder betroffen, deshalb ist es von gro\u00dfem Interesse diese Krankheit fr\u00fchzeitig zu erkennen um Schlimmeres sowie einen l\u00e4ngeren Krankenhausaufenthalt zu vermeiden. Das Zentrum ist daher von gro\u00dfer Wichtigkeit da es sich vor allem auf chirurgische Eingriffe spezialisiert hat, die meist noch die einzige Hoffnung auf Heilung sind.<\/p>\n<p>Direktor Christophe Wantz und Annick Feipel der Fondation Follereau zeigten sich beeindruckt von der Spende und bedankten sich herzlich f\u00fcr die noble Geste bei Afiliatys die ihre Hilfe den Menschen anbieten die von Krankheit und Leid gekennzeichnet sind.<\/p>\n<p><!--:--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Luxemburg, 17.
